Roaring Point Waterfront Campground is a small, family-operated campground in Nanticoke, Maryland. It is the perfect place for a family trip filled with outdoor activities such as swimming, fishing, and crabbing, as well as a romantic getaway for those that enjoy stunning sunsets and breathtaking hikes. Best of all, the campground is dog-friendly, so your four-pawed fur-ball can join in on the fun!
The campground offers cozy, well-maintained sites, most of which are 50’ x 50’ in size. There are primitive tent sites that provide the traditional camping experience, as well as partial and full-hookup sites. All sites come with campfire rings and picnic tables, and nothing beats s’mores at sunset.Â
The campground is equipped with a bathhouse with running water, laundry facilities, a picnic pavilion, and a well-stocked camp store that has all the essentials you might need. There is also a playground on-site for little campers to socialize and play in. Plus, depending on when you visit your kids might get to enjoy egg hunts, craft nights, and hayrides organized by the friendly campground staff.Â
There are tons of activities that patrons can participate in without leaving the campground; these include bingo nights, live entertainment, and potluck dinners! For more active campers, the campground features basketball and volleyball courts, as well as horseshoes. Fishing is another popular pastime in the area, though it requires a license. If you don’t have one, don’t worry -- you will still be able to enjoy the nearby sandy beaches and swim with your friends, four-pawed buddies, and family.Â
Primitive sites at Roaring Point Waterfront Campground start at $30 per night or $180 per week, while water and electric sites are $40 and $240 respectively. For an additional $10 per day, you can also get a sewer hookup. Fees vary throughout the seasons and are higher for waterfront sites, so be sure to check the website for more details.Â
