Located just miles away from the Royal Gorge Park and Canon City in Colorado is Royal View Campground. At Royal View, you'll be greeted with breathtaking views of both the Rocky Mountains and the Royal Gorge Bridge, the largest suspension bridge in the world.
Pups are welcome at Royal View (maximum two per site), and there’s even a dog park. Outside the dog park, your pooch must always stay on a leash no longer than six feet. Do not leave them unattended and bring evidence of current vaccinations. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in cabins or glamping tents.
Whether you're looking for RV camping, glamping, or staying in a cabin, Royal View Campground has it all. All sites are level, and pull-through RV sites come with either 30 or 50 amp services. RV sites begin at rates as low as $42 per night and also come with full hook-ups that include sewage, water, and electricity. There are three types of RV sites: premium, standard, and executive. Executive sites are more spacious and come with the best views.
If you're more of a tent camper, then the glamping units are perfect for you. These units are essentially modern, stationary tents that come with an assortment of amenities. These include a queen-size bed and futon, a refrigerator, table with chairs, ceiling fan, and a cooler. Private half-bathrooms are located only a short walk away, making these accommodations comfortable and convenient. Cabins are also available if you're looking for an upgraded stay, as they come with more sleeping accommodations and climate control options.
When visiting Royal View Campground, you'll always have something to do. At the campground, there’s a large in-ground swimming pool where you can relax or cool down. Modern bathhouses and a laundry facility add comfort to your stay, and a clubhouse and community fire ring are other ways to spend your time.Â
Interested in venturing off the campsite? Royal Gorge Park has all sorts of opportunities for you, including zip lining, exploring the Royal Gorge Bridge, or rock climbing.
