Description

Nestled in the heart of the Pennsylvania wilderness, Seven Points is a spring and summer getaway perfect for avid adventurers or even families just looking to get back into nature. Swimming, boating, and hiking opportunities are all found in abundance in and around Seven Points. Canines are particularly welcome, as the lake carries no restrictions on Fido getting into the water for a swim, provided they're kept away from any public swimming areas.

Anglers will have a field day at Seven Points' nearby Raystown Lake. This man-made body of water houses several different species of fish, including muskies, largemouth bass, and trout, as well as a few others. Overnight guests who've brought a dog along are more than welcome to keep them nearby as they try to catch that evening's dinner. Make sure to check that your Pennsylvania fishing license is up-to-date before planning to drop a line in these waters. Keep in mind that if Fido is brought along for the trip, they'll have to stay on a leash around 6 feet in length.

Overnight stays at Seven Points are offered in one of four different types of sites. Primitive tent sites are the base rate of $24 and offer no modern connections. Electric sites are priced at $26 for the base rate, or campers can upgrade to a deluxe electric site for $30. Waterfront sites are at a premium, at $26 per evening. Please note that there is a reservation period; during off-peak months, sites are first-come-first-served. Contact the campground office for more information on reserving a site.

The hiking trails in and around Seven Points offer some great opportunities for walking Fido. The Greenside Pathway is particularly dog-friendly, as it's made of recycled rubber tires and makes a gentle surface for sensitive paws. You're responsible for cleaning up after your fur-baby to keep this trail dog-friendly, so don't fur-get the doggy waste bags!

Unlike some surrounding camping areas, Seven Points allows alcohol, in limited amounts. For more information, make sure to reach out the campground via phone before your stay.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
