Description

If you're searching for a new place to pitch a tent in Virginia, Shenandoah Hills campground in Madison has everything a camper could ask for. The campground is open year-round and it provides visitors with an unforgettable experience, whether you're looking for excitement or just a relaxing vacation.

There are a variety of amenities available at Shenandoah including WIFI (with a central hotspot), cable TV, a laundry facility and a modern bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets. RV supplies, groceries, wood, ice, and propane are all conveniently available within the grounds. All campsites come with picnic tables and fire rings, with a dump station offered for guests to use.

Campsites can accommodate RVs, pop-up trailers and range from having electricity and water to full hookups with sewage. Basic one-room cabins are also available to rent that sleep four, as well as a one luxury cabin that comes with a refrigerator, microwave and has AC. Dogs aren’t permitted in rentals, so if you're looking to bring your pooch, bring your tent or RV.

Most dogs are welcome to accompany their owners to the campground, however, some breeds are not. These include Akitas, Malamutes, Great Danes, Pit bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Huskies, Mastiffs, Shepherds, Boxers, or wolf-hybrids. Bringing one dog is free, but for every additional dog, the cost is $2. You are asked to keep your dog on their leash at all times, control their barking, and of course, clean up any mess they make straightaway.

If you're looking for ways to keep yourself busy, check out the playground or catch and release pond for fishing in the grounds. A large, in-ground swimming pool and a games room are other options for you to enjoy. The Shenandoah National Park is not far from the site, giving you access to nature trails, wildlife, and beautiful scenic views. Horseback riding, fishing, and hunting are also close by at Blue Ridge Mountains.

The unforgettable Shenandoah Hills campground grants you access to the beautiful outdoors while enhancing your experience with modern amenities.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
