Silver Summit RV Park is a relaxing getaway near the historic railroad trails located in Silverton, Colorado. The RV park is closely connected to the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and has close proximity to multiple areas perfect for ATVs, jeeps, hiking, biking, and fishing.

A popular area for bird watching and photography, guests who stay at Silver Summit RV Park are often blown away by the beauty of the surrounding areas. Short day trips take explorers to the Mesa Verde National Park, the Gunnison National Park, and the Aztec Ruins National Monument. 

If Fido loves car rides and you are touring the area around this RV park, you don't want to miss the San Juan Skyway drive, either. Kendall Mountain is right in the area, so a quiet evening listening to the waterfalls located on the mountain may just be the perfect end to a tranquil or action-packed day. 

The RV park itself offers multiple amenities for those who want to hang around their RVs or tents. Sites come with 20, 30, and 50 amp hookups including water, electric, and sewage hookups. Guests have access to laundry facilities and community restrooms and showers. Free wifi is offered, as well. The park is seasonal, open May 15th to October 15th.

Tents are allowed, but not on the grass because the altitude makes it difficult to keep a lawn cultivated. Instead, tents can be set up on the drives, but air mattresses are recommended. Rates vary based on length of stay and lodging, but the general RV rates begin at $38 per day.

Silver Summit RV Park does allow pets on leashes, and they are allowed to walk with you through all of the open areas that surround the RV park as long as you clean up after them. Never leave your pet unattended.
