Description
Sinkhole Campground is located in Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Arizona. Within a stunning ponderosa pine forest, this campground is secluded and small with only 26 campsites that keep the area feeling peaceful and quiet. Peak season is between May and October, so you can expect the most amount of people during this time.

At this site, you can walk to Willow Springs Lake, General Crook National Recreation Trail, and Woods Canyon Lakes. These areas provide fantastic swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, and hiking opportunities for the outdoor lovers. Some campers and people who visit the area also love to go mountain biking as well.

The campground itself features ponderosa pines that surround the campground, providing plenty of shade and breaks from the hot sun. Each campsite also has a campfire ring, grill, and picnic table that are perfect for late night smores and cooking dinner - perhaps the fish you and your pup catch in the lake! As a camper, you will also have access to vault toilets, a campsite host, drinking water, and trash service. Within ten miles of the sites, there is also a boat ramp, boat dock, and dump station.

Dogs are allowed at the campground, but they should wear their leash at all times when they are both with you and alone. You cannot tether your dog and leave them unattended. There are no poop bags provided at the grounds, so make sure you bring your own so you can clean up after your dog. This helps keep the park clean and sanitary for other camp-goers. Always make sure to give your dog lots of fresh drinking water and a cool and comfortable place to sleep!

Overall, Sinkhole Campground is a beautiful, little site that is perfect for spending some quality time with your family, friends, and pooch. We are confident all members of the family will have fun at this scenic, peaceful, and quiet location.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
