Six Mile Creek

The Six Mile Creek Campground is located at the Dannelly Reservoir in Alabama. This park is situated at the Black Prairie Belt, sitting near the Alabama River while covering around 27 square miles of shoreline. It is host to numerous recreational activities that are not just entirely based on the river. 

The park’s terrain is surrounded by rich, dark soils and a wide array of grasslands that make the park look like a glass mosaic. The park is also covered with dense hardwood and a lot of pine trees to make it look attractive. The campsite is fit for a limited number of RVs and tents, but it offers decent space for swimming and exploring the river. The island in front of the campsite can also be examined for those who are truly adventurous. The Six Mile Creek literally measures 6 miles and can be accessed by everyone for swimming.

The creek offers an excellent means to fish the wildlife of the river such as bass, bluegills, catfish, crappie, and many more. The park also offers fishing tournaments for those competitive ones and festivals to those who want to have a lot of fun. Hunters will love to hunt the game on the uphill areas of the park. They can hunt wild turkeys and whitetail deer in this area. The park also recommends bow hunting around the vicinity, which can be more fun than using a hunting rifle. Additionally, the whole area is child and pet-friendly, though they ask that you keep your pupper on-leash!

Rest assured that you will undoubtedly have a lot of good times here - especially if animal hunting is a hobby that you love to do when taking a vacation.
