Slide Mountain Cabins & RV Park

Slide Mountain Cabins and RV Park is located in Nelchina, Alaska. It is a large park filled with RV spots and beautiful cabins that make your stay as comfortable and homey as possible. Within 15 minutes, you are near heaps of the most stunning hiking trails in Alaska, great fishing and hunting, mountains, national parks, glaciers, and even a restaurant 7 miles up the road. 

Within the campground itself, you will find full hookups for RVs, fresh water for drinking, a dump station, tent sites, an enclosed pavilion with a fireplace, swinging benches for enjoying the gorgeous views, and charcoal grills for having delicious cookouts. For the kids, a playground and grassy areas are perfect for running around. Restrooms, hot showers, and free WiFi in the office are available for use as well. 

With cabin, tent, and RV camping, there is something for everyone as this spot can accommodate any type of camper. You will find some shady areas in the RV park and tent camping sites, however, there is still a lot of light and open areas that do not provide shade. You are allowed to make your own fire and firewood is available for purchase in bundles on site. You will have to pay for hot showers as well. It is located in a very peaceful, quiet, and remote location, so you will not need to worry about highway sounds and cars driving by. 

Your dog is allowed to camp with you at this site. There may or may not be poop bags available, so bring your own so you can clean up after your dog. Make sure you keep them on a leash and they are non-aggressive to other people and dogs. 

Overall, Slide Mountain is a great campground for the whole family, including your furry friend. With a comfortable and peaceful location and some of the best attractions that are not too far away, you will love staying at this site!
