Description

The era of the resort campground is in full swing with snow birders looking for a little luxury and families wanting a tranquil, country setting with all the comforts of home.

Stony Brook resort delivers on all points with a hidden gem campground nuzzled in the Pocono Mountains, offering a secluded ambiance with resort-style living. The hosts get the thumbs up for providing a dynamic RV park where full-hookups to electricity (30/50 amp), water, and sewer are the norm.

There is an abundance of forest trees for shade, and sites offer pull-through and back-in choices, plus access to the internet and cable TV. A picnic table and fire ring allow for cooking outdoors, while a communal campfire prompts the storytelling as campers reunite with last season’s friends and new folks get acquainted. The weekday daily rate is $49, with rates increasing to $59 on the weekends and $69 for national holidays. The big rigs are welcome, with easy-to-navigate, spacious sites and internal roads.

The motto at Stoney Brook is, "good times for all," and that includes a child-friendly playground, swimming pool, basketball court, and soccer field where David Beckham would be proud to shoot a few goals. A catch-and-release pond lets parents teach their kids the art of fishing, while the party begins with potluck dinners, line dancing for western fans, and games at the pool.

The grounds are meticulously maintained with upscale restrooms, showers, and a laundry, while personable hosts are always available for a chat or to help guests find local places to visit. A camp store has a range of supplies, and the nearest highway is a few miles away, so look forward to a peaceful stay.

Stonybrook RV Resort allows pets and asks owners to please keep their dogs on-leash. They also request guardians supply doggy bags and pick up their fur-baby's waste. Man’s best friend will be in woofer heaven with walks around the perimeter and trees galore to investigate.

Planning the summer at Stonybrook RV Park makes good sense with top-rated service and all-inclusive rates. May through to October is their busiest time, so don’t delay and book that seasonal site.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
