Timberline Campground is a top Colorado camping destination surrounded by Pike National Forest, which spans over one million acres in the area west of Colorado Springs. Timberline Campground offers 24 sites, and each site can accommodate up to eight campers. The nightly fee for a site is $22, and double sites are also available for $44. Note that none of the sites offer hookups.

This trail runs over 471 miles and is a terrific spot for hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing. If learning about local history is your thing, you can stop by the town of Fairplay. There, you can find numerous historical sites and a museum.
There are a few things you should keep in mind when you’re staying at Timberline Campground. Please note that drinking water is not available at the campground, so you will have to bring your own. Forest Road 125 is a gravel road which is not accessible for vehicles without a license; call ahead if you're planning to camp in your rig. Also remember to keep your dog leashed at all times and to clean up after them. Finally, note that the campsite is in an active bear area, so you should take the necessary precautions.
