Tolsona Wilderness Campground is the perfect escape if you're looking for a tranquil, wooded campground in Glennallen, Alaska. The campground is equipped with a total of 80 sites, 60 dedicated to RVs and 20 for tent accommodations, all located right alongside the creek. Sites come with water and electricity hookups, both 30 and 50 amps. Fires are permitted on your campsite, however, firearms and fireworks are both prohibited on the campground. The use of off-road vehicles such as ATVs is also not allowed.
The naturalistic campground comes with modern amenities like free showers available and WIFI ready for you to use at your convenience. Laundry facilities are also available, giving you a chance to pack less while camping. The campground is dog-friendly but requires your pup to stay on leash. You are also reminded that pet cleanup is mandatory, so don’t forget to bring your poop bags. Water is available on the campground for you to access to keep your pooch cool.
At Tolsona Wilderness Campground, there are a variety of ways to keep yourself busy. For starters, the campground offers horseshoe pits, washer toss games, and corn-hole toss games for you to use at your own convenience. They also have ladder golf and Bocce ball for you to enjoy. If you are looking to get out and enjoy the beautiful outdoors, taking a two-mile, round-trip hike to the Tolsona Mud Volcanoes is a fantastic experience. In total, the hike is estimated to take approximately an hour and a half there and back, giving you the perfect opportunity to explore the outdoors with your pooch.
