The 7171 Flying Cloud Drive Dog Park is in the town of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This dog park is a nice sized stretch of open ground for exercising dogs off-leash. The dog park has a small parking lot with space for six cars.
This dog park in Eden Prairie is fully fenced in and has safe, double gated entrances. There are both small and large dog areas which are separated by fencing. The off-leash areas have coverings of bark chippings and dirt with grass around the perimeters.
There are trees outside of the off-leash borders, but none inside so there is little shade for dogs on hot days. This dog park is open all year round, but pet owners using the facility in inclement weather should be aware that rain can make the surfaces muddy underfoot. There are several pieces of agility equipment in the big dog area and park benches for pet owners.
All dogs exercised in the off-leash dog park must be licensed with the Eden Prairie authorities. Dogs must also have completed their full cycle of vaccinations before using the facility. Any dog which has a known history of aggression or anti-social behavior either towards other dogs or humans are not allowed in the park.
Pet owners should be aware that children younger than the age of six cannot go in the off-leash areas. Those children between the ages of seven and twelve must be competently supervised. No-one can exercise more than two dogs at once, and all owners are held responsible for the actions of their dog or any damage caused by them.
There are no poop bag dispensers on site so owners are required to supply their own and must clean up all poop deposited by their dogs. There are no water spigots or fountains. Owners should ensure they take bottled water and bowl so their pet can have a drink, particularly in hot weather.
