Staring Lake Park Dog Park

Staring Lake Dog Park is a seasonal dog park that is open to the public from March to December. It is located adjacent to the Staring Lake Archery Range in the Staring Lake Park in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. In addition to the dog park, the Staring Lake Park is home to several sports fields and courts, a fishing pier, an ice skating rink, a ski trail, public restrooms and a disc golf course. Needless to say, it is a great place for a day outdoors with the family as every single family member will find something to do here.

The five-and-a-half acre Staring Lake Dog Park has a long, narrow and uneven shape with a mix of open space, nature trails, slight slopes, and some ungroomed, wooded areas. Since it doesn't have a separate small dog area, the park is best suited for dogs who can keep up and get along with all kinds of breeds and sizes. However, since it is so vast, on less busy days you might bump into only a dog or two on the trail. 

It is an ideal park for active dogs who love to run and play with their four-legged buddies on playdates and for those who like to explore and sniff around in nature. Unlike most dog parks, this dog park feels like you are hiking in the lush wilderness with your furry bestie and not letting your pooch run around on a square lawn that is fenced.

The Staring Lake Dog Park is equipped with a picnic table and several benches that owners can relax on as they watch their dogs. There is also a doggie and human water fountain available by the parking lot that is operational during the warmer months.

The dog park is very popular among the dog owners living in the nearby areas due to its size, interesting landscaping, and scenic views. There are also paved paths running throughout the entire park, making it the perfect spot for long off and on-leash walks with your canine buddy.
