Walks are woofderful, but sometimes dogs just need some off leash play time. For the lucky pups living in Petaluma, the city has designated special off leash hours for several of its parks, including Arroyo Park. Treat your pup to a visit to this park and you’ll get a big wet kiss of appreciation! Parking is available on the street outside of the park.
Arroyo Park features over 5 acres of land for residents with multiple playgrounds. What your pup will love most is the abundant open grassy areas which are pawfect for running, chasing and cavorting with their favorite owners or pup friends. While normally pups can visit Arroyo Park leashed, during the special off leash hours, the park turns into a puptastic off leash zone! Off leash hours are both in the early morning and evening, and allow your pup to romp in absolute freedom anywhere in the park.Â
Off leash hours for Arroyo Park are Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., then again from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, the morning off leash hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., and evenings again from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Remember, if you visit the park outside of these hours, your pup needs to be on a lead. Also, be sure to stay near to your dog and keep them under voice control at all times. There is a maximum of three dogs allowed per owner for any of the parks participating in the off leash hours in Petaluma.Â
Bring a ball for a game of fetch or let your furry friend sniff around on their own. Have all you may need on hand for a puptastic day out, including water to share and clean-up bags, and be sure to pick up whatever your pup lays down.
For a furbulous day out your pup will love, check out Arroyo Park during its off leash hours for the ultimate in dog fun!
