Walks are woofderful, but sometimes dogs just need some off leash play time. That’s where dog parks come in. The lucky pups living in Petaluma have several dog run areas to choose from. One of these can be found in Arroyo Park. Treat your pup to a visit to this park and you’ll get a big wet kiss of appreciation!
The most impawtant thing to know about the Arroyo Park
Off Leash Dog Area is that there are only certain hours that your furry friend
can run around without a lead. There are morning and evening hours dedicated to
doggy fun. Monday to Friday mornings the off leash hours are from 6:00 a.m. to
11:00 a.m. On Saturday and Sunday the morning off leash hours are from 6:00
a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The evening off leash hours are the same from Monday to
Sunday, 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. If you
visit the off leash area outside of these hours, your pup needs to be on a
lead. Also, be sure to stay near to your pup and make sure they are under voice
control at all times.
During the off leash hours, your furry friend can romp
around the park to their heart’s content. Bring a ball for a game of fetch of
let them sniff around on their own. Supervised visits to dog parks are a
woorderful way to socialize your furry BFF. They can mix and mingle with their
four legged peers. Plus they’ll get tuckered out while doing it. It’s a win-win
Once they are finished running and wrestling, clip their
leash on and go for a walk around Arroyo Park so your pup can cool down. Make
sure you bring clean up bags and plenty of water. Your pup will need a drink
after all that furrific playing!
