Bachman Lake Park

This furrific recreational area is very pawpular with people and their pooches in northwest Dallas. You won't have any trouble finding this pawsitively awesome spot as it sits quite near to Love Field Airport. If you are an airplane enthusiast, you will enjoy watching the planes come and go as the park itself offers wooftastic views of the landing strip. 

Bachman Lake itself consists of 205 acres and is the pawrfect spot for some swimming or a day out on the water in your canoe or kayak. Fido may join you in all areas of this pawrific park including in the water, but he must remain on a lead at all times. 

Water activities aren't the only doggone great things to do at Bachman Lake Park. There is an over three mile trail that is a barking awesome place to get in some hiking or biking. It meanders through abundant cypress trees which offer an air of tranquility and much shade. You and your pooch may also catch a glimpse of some local wildlife including geese and ducks on your walk so be sure to bring along a camera. 

If you fancy a picnic lunch, you will find lots of picnic tables and a pavilion at Bachman Lake Park. If watching the world go by with Fido along for company sounds like a little slice of paradise, there are lots of benches where you can take a load off and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings. In a southern corner of this woofderful play haven, you will also find bathrooms for pawblic use. 

You will not need to bring along drinking water as there are many fountains scattered throughout the park. Here you can obtain some water to wet your pooch's whistle when needed, but a bowl may be helpful. Cleanup bags are not available on the grounds, so you'll want to bring a few from home.
