With an eye to dogs who might benefit from a gentler play atmosphere, one run is reserved solely for use by dogs weighing less than 25 lbs or for dogs who are timid or elderly. Visitors to this dog playground do note that the small dog area is not very large. Though dogs are welcome to engage in off-leash play in either run, owners should always have a lead on hand.Â
Central Christian Church who provides the leadership and maintenance for Central Dog Park proudly offers entrance to their dog play haven at no cost to the public. To welcome visitors who frequent the dog play spaces, a monthly social event is hosted at the dog park by the church staff.Â
Central Dog Park is equipped with all of the things Fido and his family could need for a great day outdoors. The grounds are liberally sprinkled with comfortable seating. Also housed on the property are fans to help keep owners cool as they observe their dogs at play.Â
Installed in the runs for all dogs to enjoy are several pools and a plentiful water supply for drinking. Bathrooms are available to the public in the church building. Poop bags are provided, and owners are asked to use them to clean up after their dogs. Though access to this pristinely clean dog park is free of charge, donations are gratefully accepted. All donated funds are earmarked for dog park maintenance and improvements.Â
There are no specific rules regarding the use of this space. To ensure your dog is free from the spread of disease, vaccinations are encouraged. A city dog license is also an excellent idea. For a good run at a great park, bring Fido to visit Central Dog Park!Â
