Is your pup bouncing off the walls? Then it must be time for a trip to the dog park! Pack up your pooch and head over to Barber Dog Park so your pal can burn off some of that extra energy. Located in the right corner of Barber Park, this off leash area is the pawfect place for a little ruffhousing!
Barber Dog Park is divided into two sections and has double
gated entries. One area is for pups under 30 pounds, while the other is for larger
breeds. Both areas are mostly grass with
some dirt patches which gives canine guests pawsome traction as they chase and
romp around with their new four legged playmates. The open fields provide
doggos with plenty of room to run, sniff, or mix and mingle with their peers.
If they are up for a challenge, your pooch can try out the agility equipment.
Tunnels and ramps make this park extra puptacular!
Both the small and large dog areas have trash cans and
clean up bags, so make sure you promptly pick up after your beloved pet.
Thirsty dogs can find refreshment at the doggy drinking fountains. The park has
a couple benches, so you can sit back and relax as your fur baby gets tuckered
out. Just make sure you always have an eye on them. There are a few trees, but
most of the play area is exposed. Watch those summer temperatures to make sure
your dog doesn’t overheat. Before heading back to the car, stop by the doggy
wash station and give your pup a quick rinse.
When they are finished playing, clip on your pup’s leash and take a
spin around Barber Park. Your pupster can cool down as they sniff through the open
fields and around the paved pathways.
Make no mistake, your pup will absolutely love Barber Dog
Park!
