There is a pavilion with a picnic table underneath, which makes for nice seating with shade. Plenty of gorgeous trees line the Barnett Dog Park and provide a great deal of shade on the remainder of the park. However, there are few amenities provided.
The Barnett Dog Park has doggie bags and garbage cans to clean up after your canine, and there is running water at some locations in the park, though you would want to bring your way to transport the water as well as a dog bowl. There is no agility equipment or other means for your canine to play around at the park.
The upside is the grass. The grass here typically stays pretty green, and it is removed from the busier areas of the park. This grass means your canine is going to leave much more clean then they would if the dog run was mostly dirt or mulch. This dog park is a small section of a much larger park. Your canine is allowed in the rest of the park while they remain on leash.
There are quite a few trails you can walk through, and the whole part has just some of the most beautiful vegetation around. There is a large pond, a few creeks, trees, and flowers all around. The Barnett Dog Park is not a bad place to bring your canine to hang out if you don't mind making a little bit of a treck from your vehicle.
