Yes, the Bill Frederick Park has golf, but it is an 18-hole disc golf course and it has a well-loved swimming pool and sites for RV camping. But it is still just one of those hideaway parks with places granddad can take grandchildren fishing and not worry about jet skis and loud teenagers whooping it up all hours of the night.
This is really a community park where dogs are welcome if they are well behaved. Expect friendly neighbors at the Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake so long as your dog is not aggressive or uncontrollable. There are apt to be children and elderly visitors to this park too, those who know a good thing when they see one.
The Bill Frederick Park is one of those parks where the local bank rents a pavilion for their annual picnic, where the locals can host a softball game, or the kids can learn to swim in the pool. Meanwhile, this is Florida and if you take all those letters and mix them around it would make sense if you ended up with the word fishing. That means perch, small-mouth bass, and anything that dawdles in sleepy waters.
If you are traveling, however, these are the kind of slightly out-of-the-way gems that many RV folks miss. It is a place to sleep late or catch a few winks in the middle of the afternoon. Furthermore, it is extremely well priced. It is only $2 per day per person and only $4 per vehicle. There are also cabins that sleep 10 ($45 per day) and full hook-up RV sites for $20.44 per day.
