Dogs and their owners can also enjoy beach access devoted entirely to dog play though it is recommended that owners wear shoes as the beach is comprised mostly of rocks. Visitors to the park report that it is clean and well-maintained. There are hoses provided for any necessary cleanups as well as access to fresh and clean drinking water.
The lagoon is treated to prevent bacteria growth and is also regularly filtered. For the utmost in safety precautions, owners are asked to keep their dogs from drinking the water in the swimming area. Owners with dogs with a penchant for escaping should note that the dog swimming areas are not entirely fenced.
There is ample parking which is available for a nominal fee. Access to Bark Park and Swim at Snyder Park is restricted to members only. There is a $1 fee for park visits on weekends, but visits during the week are free of charge. An on-site attendant can assist owners with obtaining memberships and accepting park fees.
This dog facility is laden with benches owners can make use of while supervising their dogs at play. Restrooms are available on site, and there is also access to a pop machine for thirsty dog owners.
It has recently been reported that the dog lake has been temporarily closed for renovations. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the park opens from 7 am to 8 am then closes from 8 am to 11 am for regular park maintenance. Some visitors to the park indicate that theft of items from vehicles has been a problem with this particular location.
It is unknown if poop bags are provided at this beautiful park; however, it is required that all dog owners carry their own supply of bags to pick up and properly dispose of any canine waste materials. Vaccinations and proof of proper state licensing are recommended.
