Bellis Dog Park is what all the pups are barking about! It’s one acre of space dedicated to the dogs. You can find it at the north end of the much larger George Bellis Park, near the tennis courts. It features two separate fenced-off areas, a small space for the little breeds and a much larger run for the bigger breeds. Here, your furry pal can enjoy some glorious off-leash freedom and socialization.Â
The dog park is relatively spacious and covered in grass which is easy on the paws. The open fields make for a great place for your dogster to stretch their legs and play some fetch. A walking path travels down the center of the fenced section, lined on one side with trash cans and doggie bag stations. Don’t forget to scoop the poop!Â
The park also features some wooden benches along the walking path where pet parents can relax and enjoy watching playtime. There are no shade structures, but you may find some shade from the surrounding mature trees and buildings depending on the time of day. You may need to keep an eye out so that your dog doesn’t start overheating or get a sunburn on the dog days of summer! The park does have doggy water fountains for parched pups.
The surrounding George Bellis Park has restrooms, playgrounds, and ample lighting should you need it. All doggos need to display proper petiquette and be up to date on their vaccines and license. Be sure to keep a watchful eye on your pal at all times.Â
Bellis Dog Park is a great place for your canine companion to get the wiggles out!Â
