If your pupper is bouncing off the walls, there's no better place to let them blow off steam than the Bentonville Bark Park! Conveniently located on the North Bentonville Trail, this 1.3-acre facility provides a safe environment for the city's furry residents and tourists to sniff, sprint, and socialize sans leash. Originally a Girl Scout Gold Award project, this pooch playground is now the coolest canine hangout in town!
Bentonville's first dog park comprises three separate sections; in addition to the usual small and large dog areas, a third section in the middle contains agility equipment for active doggos. Test your pup's athletic abilities and see if you can get them to climb over the A-frame, run through the tunnel, and leap over the jumps! If your pooch would rather play with their fellow canines, make sure they go in the area appropriate for their size. Whether your woofer belongs in the large or small dog section, there's plenty of room for everyone, including those with boundless energy, to run around and get all the wiggles out.
Always keep an eye on your furry charge even as you're sitting on one of the benches and chatting with the other dog parents. Be sure to stoop and scoop if Fido heeds the call of nature—pet waste stations are available for easy cleanups. Also, don't forget to offer your pup some water after they've completed a few laps around the park. The doggie drinking fountain is located outside the gated area, so it's recommended to bring a water bowl to fill up.
Note that all doggos entering the Bark Park must be licensed, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. Except for small training treats and tennis balls, all food and toys should be left at home.
For a doggone good time in Bentonville, bring your pooch to the Bentonville Bark Park!
