Nestled in the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas sits the city of Hot Springs. The city is well known for its natural hot springs and national forest park. Hot Springs is a tourist area with something to do for everyone, including dogs. A great, not-so-known secret of this city is the Hot Springs Bark Park. This dog park is located across the street from Hollywood Park and is a wonderful off-leash park, that is rarely ever crowded. The park offers two separate fenced-in areas for small dogs and large dogs. There is always ample seating for humans at this park, as well. The Hot Springs Bark Park also has two water fountains and a hose to cool off your pup on those hot summer days.
The park is generally a serene place to visit with plenty of shade and sun. There is a fire hydrant, a few tunnels and a wide open field for your beloved dog to roam around in. This park also has a really good doggie waste station with plenty of doggie bags. Hot Springs Bark Park is well maintained and loved by so many locals, even the tourists love to exercise their dogs here.
This Hot Springs off-leash dog park requires that all dog handlers be at least 16 years of age and all children 6 and under need to be accompanied by an adult. Dogs should be leashed upon entering and leaving the park. Also, dogs should be fully vaccinated and licensed properly according to city rules. Owners should always clean up after their dogs and remain in control of their pet at all times. Aggressive dogs will be asked to leave the park.
Whether you are on vacation in Hot Springs or a seasoned local, this park is one of the best off-leash parks in the area. Not only that, it’s an added bonus that it is so close to Hollywood Park. So, when you are done at the Bark Park, maybe you will be up for a leisurely stroll with your pup by-leash around Hollywood Bark.Â
