If you’re looking for a furrific place to take a fun walk with your pup, head to Bisbee Parkway Park! This 11.2-acre park is home to a short and scenic trail that’s perfect for leisurely strolls with your furry best friend. Dogs are welcome to join you in this pawesome park on leash.
Bisbee Parkway Park was first established in 1952, but until 2000, there were only trees and overgrown grass in the park. For years, people who lived near the park asked the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department to build a walking path. In 2001, the department finally built a puptastic paved path, and now, Bisbee Parkway is a pawpular place for locals to go for walks!
Bisbee Parkway’s walking path is 0.2-miles in total, and a large portion of the path is surrounded by trees, keeping the area shady and cool. As you go along the path, you’ll pass a beautiful field that’s filled with wildflowers, a hidden creek, and a large open green space that’s perfect for games of Frisbee with your pup. You can also have a picnic with your dog on this green space.
There are lights all along the path, allowing you to walk in the park when it’s dark. If you need a break during your walk, there are five benches in Bisbee Parkway. There’s no water available in the park, so it’s a good idea to bring some along for you and your pup. There are also no doggy bags available in the park, so bring those with you too.
Bisbee Parkway Park is a lovely community park that you and your pup are both sure to love! You and your dog will always have a pawsitively amazing time when you’re spending the day in this park.
