Blue Skies Dog Park is one of six dog parks in the Longmont region. The fenced enclosure is narrow in scope but long by comparison and is well-conducive to off-leash play. Park officials request that all dog owners keep their dogs on a lead when traveling to and from the play areas. If other dogs are present, the park rules state that owners must keep their dogs on a lead for appropriate social greetings between all dogs making use of the space. Removal of the leash is seen as the owner's guarantee that their dog is socially appropriate to interact with other dogs.
Water is not available on-site. Dog owners are asked to bring a bottle of water with them along with an appropriate drinking vessel to help keep Fido well-hydrated during his play time. Park officials also encourage owners to bring balls, toys, or frisbees for Fido and his friends to enjoy in the enclosure. It is unknown if there is a separate play area designated for small dog use.
This dog facility is accessible to the public free of charge. It is unknown if complimentary poop bags are provided. However, it is mandatory for all owners to pick up and properly dispose of all pet waste materials. Dogs making use of the space are to be supervised at all times. Park officials require that all dogs be current on vaccinations and bear the appropriate state license tag. In addition to this, the park prohibits aggressive dogs, female dogs in heat, and puppies under the age of 4 months from using the facility.
For a great time with Fido and family, make a trip to Blue Skies Dog Park.
