The Cabot Dog Park is an off-leash dog park in Cabot, Arkansas. This dog park is located in the city's Community Pond Park which is popular with local residents for its eighteen-hole disc golf course, pond-side trails and family pavilions with grills. Do the local dogs care about all that? Not really.Â
What makes the Cabot City pooches happy is the part of the community park which has been designated an off-leash area for exercising dogs. This dog park in Cabot is a fantastic dog run where fur babies can romp around free of leash restrictions without their pet parent worrying.Â
Surrounded by eight-foot chain-link fencing, it is a properly secured and safe environment for pups. Leashing and unleashing can be done safely too as the dog park has two gated staging areas. The off-leash areas are bordered with tall trees which helps keep the wind out, but there are no trees inside the perimeter fencing so no shade on hot days for pups.Â
What they do have are some great pieces of agility apparatus which help keep them busy when there aren't many furry friends to socialize with. The dog park is furnished with both a water fountain and a waste station. Even though bags for scooped poop are provided, owners should always take a few spare for that odd occasion they may have run out.Â
Even though a pup can't escape from the Cabot dog park, it doesn't mean their owner shouldn't supervise it. Pups need to be kept an eye on all the time. So does their documentation. In Arkansas, and in Cabot, a dog license is only valid for as long as the rabies shot certificate is in date. Once the rabies shot certification expires so does the license. A pup needs to have both in order to be able to enter the dog park.
