Cavalero Hill Community Dog Park

The Cavalero Hill Community Dog Park is a dog park in the city of Lake Stevens, Snohomish County, Washington. A vehicle is needed to get to this Lake Stevens dog park as it is in the rural area known as Calavero Hill Community Park on the outskirts of the city. The Cavalero Hill Dog Park covers a total ground space of five acres all of which has been fenced with rustic looking split timber fencing. 

This is fine for the big dogs and looks appealing, but can cause problems for owners exercising dogs in the small dog section as mini breeds can easily pass through it. Both off-leash areas are grass covered and have several trees. Fire hydrants, agility equipment, and drinking bowls are also provided for the dogs. Owners need to take a jug of water with them as there is no supply on-site. 

While there are bowls on-site, it does help stop the spread of infection if dogs stick to using their own. There is a poop bag station by the dog park entrance, and it is advisable for owners to grab one or two before going into the off-leash area. Pet owners visiting the thirty-five acre Cavalero Hill Community Park which, although it is in a rural setting, you cannot unleash their dogs unless you are in the off-leash dog area. 

Dogs with troublesome characters, who do not know how to behave in a social canine environment like the Cavalero Hill Community Dog Park, should be leashed and removed from the off-leash area. Dogs who are reported as being continually anti-social run the risk of not being permitted entry. 

The Cavalero Hill Community Dog Park is in a very rural setting, and owners should ensure their pets vaccinations and parasite treatments are up to date before using the facility. There is wildlife in the area which can spread ticks, fleas and bacterial infections to pampered pooches if they're not correctly protected.
