Cedar River Off-Leash Dog Park

Cedar River Off-Leash Dog Park is a hidden gem for dogs and their owners to get some relaxation and exercise. Parking is located nearby, which is convenient. This lovely park has two double-gated entries, three picnic tables, two shade structures, and a water spigot for your dog to get a drink from. However, dog owners are encouraged to bring water and a portable bowl for their dog to prevent dehydration during the winter months as the water is shut off during that time. 

There is agility equipment for your dog to play on and get plenty of exercise. All dogs need to be accompanied by an owner at all times and pet parents have to be over 16 years of age. Dogs that enter the park need to have their current vaccinations and not be sick or injured. This is the best way to keep the other dogs safe and healthy at the park. This large fenced in dog park has a separate area for smaller dogs. 

Playing fetch with your dog at this park is a dream. Your dog can run as far as you can throw the ball or toy. It is great to watch your dog run around so free and happy playing with other dogs. However, it is best to leave your dog’s favorite toys at home so he doesn’t become aggressive if other dogs in the area try to play with it. A simple ball or stick is best. 

All dogs should be kept on a leash until they enter the designated off-leash dog park area. Also, avoid bringing treats since it can also cause aggressive behavior if another dog tries to snatch it away. If your dog is involved in any type of aggression at the park it is best to leave and go back another day. All pet parents are encouraged to clean up after their dog so please bring your own supply of doggie poop bags and clean up after your dog immediately.
