Centennial Park Off Leash Dog Area

The Centennial Park Off-Leash Dog Area is a 37-acre property located at 4630 South Decatur, Englewood, Colorado. It is in close proximity to the Federal Boulevard and Belleview Avenue, conveniently situated among the natural habitat of Centennial Park. You can visit Englewood's website for more information. 

The area is opened to all canine lovers from 6-11 am and 6-11 pm in March through October, and 6 am-11 pm from November until February. Furthermore, you can have access to the property without paying for any fees. These hours are exclusively for off-leashed dogs, whereas all other times pets must be on a leash. There are playgrounds, pavilions, and restrooms located in the shelter, near the playground, and the basketball court.

The park is not fenced, so all owners are advised to keep their dogs under reasonable voice control when they are off their leash. Its main attractions are the trail and lake, although no swimming in the area is allowed. A one-mile walking trail loops the lake, creating a welcoming space for dogs and owners alike. There is plenty of vegetation, ball-fields, nature trails, fishing and picnic areas, as well as marshes for the dogs to sniff through.

Parking areas are also provided, along with access to water and benches. Owners can also enjoy geese flying over the lake and fishing activities. Visitors should also remember to clean up after their dogs and provide collars and tags for each one of their pets. Dogs under the age of four months are not allowed inside the park. Centennial Park is a great place to let your dogs roam free and enjoy nature. It provides access to everything from trails, athletic fields and off the leash areas for your furry friend, until close to midnight.
