While this dedicated dog play area is a designated off-leash zone, it is not fenced. Dogs who lack a strong recall should remain on a lead during their visit to the park. Park regulations state that owners must have a lead with them at all times and are to remove their dog at the first glimpse of conflict.Â
Access to this public play space is free of charge. Bathrooms are available on-site; however, it is not known if fresh water suitable for drinking is provided. For this reason, owners are strongly encouraged to carry a bottle of water and an appropriate drinking vessel with them.Â
It also not known if complimentary poop bags are available on the premises. However, it is mandated that all owners carry bags with them and pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste materials promptly. While no specific rules govern the use of the park space, it is highly recommended that all dogs be current on vaccinations. It is also advisable that all dogs visiting the park bear the appropriate required state license tag on their collars.
This public space observes seasonal hours with the park open from 6 am to 11 pm from November through February. Hours are reduced from March through October to 6 am through 11 am with a closure from 11 am to 6 pm for cleaning and regular park maintenance. The park then reopens from 6 pm to 11 pm. For a great place for Fido to burn off some pent-up energies, you can't beat a visit to Duncan Dog Park!
