The dog park will be incorporated into this new recreational space. At this time, Central Bark is home to one small fenced play area where all dogs are welcome to join in off-leash play and fun. There is currently no separate space for small dog use. As with most dog parks, Central Bark requires that all dog owners carry a leash with them and keep their dogs on a lead when entering and exiting the run as well as in all public spaces.
Owners must have one leash per dog in attendance. Central Bark is a private dog playground. Entrance to the grounds is fee-based, and a membership is required. To obtain a membership, owners must submit proof of a current rabies vaccination and city dog license as well as the fee of $25 per annum. The $25 fee permits access for one dog to the play areas. Additional dogs can be added to a family membership at a cost of $10 per dog.
A completed application form must accompany the documentation and fee. This 6,000 square foot dog run offers drinking water to help keep Fido well-hydrated. Also on the grounds is bench-style seating where owners can relax while their dogs run and play.
There are no bathrooms housed on the property of this public play haven. Poop bags are provided on the grounds. Owners are asked to make use of them to clean up after their pets as is required by South Carolina law. The official rules regarding park use are posted at the entrance to Central Bark.
It is important to note that a park pass must be presented to gain access to the grounds. Dogs must also bear a rabies tag and city dog license tag on their collars at all times. Smoking and eating are not permitted on the grounds of Central Bark. Looking for a new place to take Fido for a run? Plan a visit to Central Bark!
