Chattahoochee State Park

The Chattahoochee State Park is a historic park that was the area where the first Seminole Wat was experienced. This picturesque park has plenty of things to do such as hiking trails, picnic area, camping, boating, fishing, and equestrian trails. The campgrounds accept dogs, but they need to be on a leash and kept with you at all times. 

Visitors can explore other areas of the park with their dog as long as they keep them on a leash. Dogs should not be left unattended or held in a hot car, tent, or RV. Always provide a safe and healthy environment for your dog when visiting the Chattahoochee State Park. The hiking trails bring you through pathways of tall trees and lush greenery. The view from various areas is breathtaking. 

Remember to bring your backpack, snacks, and water for you and your dog. Your dog can sit next to you as you fish but make sure they don’t jump in the water. You can spend a lovely day fishing and boating. Some pet parents prefer to keep their dog in a doggie life vest when around water sources to prevent accidents. Dogs are not allowed near the equestrian trails for safety reasons. 

Avoid these areas to prevent your dog from getting into contact with a horse. Injury can happen quickly if a dog gets in the path of a horse running on a trail. The entire family can enjoy this fantastic state park. You will enjoy nature, hiking trails, horseback riding, fishing, and boating.
