Chinquapin Park Off Leash Dog Area
Though this park is designated as an off-leash play zone, it is not fenced. The play area itself is marked by wooden stakes to indicate the boundaries. Owners are required to keep their dogs under verbal control at all times and to actively supervise all off-leash play time involving their dog. It is also advisable for each owner to retain a lead on them in case of emergencies. Dogs are to remain on a lead when traveling to and from the off-leash areas of this park.
It is unknown if public bathroom facilities are available on site or if there is access to a potable water supply. For this reason, owners should bring a bottle of water and suitable drinking vessel with them to help keep Fido well-hydrated during his play time at the park. This public dog play space is accessible to all dogs and their owners free of charge.
It is unknown if poop bags are provided at this park, however, it is mandatory for all owners to assist park officials in maintaining the park's cleanliness by picking up and properly disposing of any dog waste materials. Park officials require that all dogs making use of the play area be current on all vaccinations including rabies. They must also bear the appropriate required state license tag. All dogs are welcome in the off-leash dog area, however, puppies under four months are not permitted on the property.
