Though many dog facilities do offer a separate space designed with the needs of small, elderly, and shy dogs in mind, there currently isn't a designated play area for them at Colchester Dog Park. However, all dogs are warmly welcomed to make use of the enclosure to run, wrestle, and roughhouse without being hampered by a leash.
Off-leash play is the focus of this beloved dog playground; however, as an important means to keep all dogs safe, owners must always have ready access to a lead. Colchester Dog Park is a public dog playground which is available to all dogs and their owners free of charge. Since the park operates purely on donations, any denomination of funds given to help advance the goal of a new and improved dog facility is greatly appreciated.
The dog run is well-equipped with amenities to help enhance Fido and his family's visit to the park. Comfortable seating is strewn throughout the property. Here, owners can relax in shaded areas and enjoy chatting with other dog owners while observing their dogs at play.
Water is not provided on the premises nor are bathrooms. Owners should come prepared with all of the things they may need during their visit including bottled water, a dog dish, and poop bags. Though complimentary poop bags are provided, it is always wise to bring some extra from home in case the park supply is running low.
There are no officially posted rules regarding the use of Colchester Dog Park. However, to help prevent the spread of disease, it is always an excellent idea for your dog to be current on vaccinations. A city dog license is also suggested. For a day of fun for Fido and the whole family, plan a trip to Colchester Dog Park!
