Dogs should possess a solid recall to use the grounds without a leash. In all other areas of the park, dogs must remain on a lead. There is no officially designated area for use by small, timid, or elderly dogs. Creston Park Off Leash Dog Area, a public dog playground, welcomes all dogs and their owners to visit their dog play area free of charge.
Housed on the grounds are bathrooms for the public to use. However, Creston Off Leash Dog Area offers no water supply or poop bags. Since both are essential items for any visit to a dog park, owners are encouraged to bring a bottle of water, a dog dish, and a handful of poop bags from home.
It is expected that all owners will show responsibility by cleaning up after their pets to help preserve this lovely natural space. Creston Park itself offers many outdoor opportunities for families to enjoy. Visitors to this space can choose from horseshoes, walking paths, softball, and tennis. Also available on the grounds are picnic areas where families can relax and enjoy a meal together.
Fido is welcome in all of these areas; however, in accordance with Oregon state law, he must remain leashed here. This property is also home to a pool which operates seasonally. Access to the pool is fee-based. Dogs visiting Creston Park Off Leash Dog Area should be up to date on vaccinations. It is also wise for each dog to be licensed with their respective city. For a day of outdoor adventure and fun, bring Fido and the family to Portland's Creston Park Off Leash Dog Area!
