As with most neighborhood parks, dogs must remain on a lead when going to and from the off-leash area. Pet parents are also asked to keep a lead with them at all times in case of a tussle or other emergency. Entrance and parking are free and bathrooms can be found outside the doggy park within Normandale Park. Inside the pup playground is a fresh water supply to help keep everyone well-hydrated.
Within each dog play area is a small pool for the fur babies to take a cooling dip on a hot summer day. Dog parents can relax on benches under the trees while watching their dogs romp and wrestle. Poop bags are available throughout the dog play areas, and dog parents are asked to pick up and properly dispose of their pupsters' waste to help ensure a clean, healthy space for everybody to enjoy.
The large, surrounding park has lots to offer, too. If you love hiking with your leashed canine BFF, there are crisscrossing nature trails to explore. Several picnic areas include comfortable seating and the park also offers paved paths for leisurely strolls.
City dog park rules include that all pups be current on vaccinations, including rabies, and they must wear state license and rabies tags on their collars. Looking for an appealing place to reconnect with your fur buddy? Bring Fido to Normandale Dog Park for a romping good time!
