Dogs are allowed to be off-leash in the agility course area, and private instruction is included with all paid fees. Currituck County 4-H Rural Center Agility Course is a private dog training area. For $25 per hour, dogs can freely enjoy the agility equipment and receive instruction from highly qualified agility trainers.
This training haven is open from 8 AM to 5 PM Mondays through Fridays. However, additional training and private events can be accommodated by reservation and for an additional fee in the evenings as well as on holidays and weekends. This beloved play and training space is owned by the county.
Port-a-potties are provided on the grounds for public use. However, there are no other on-site amenities. Owners are encouraged to bring bottled water, a dog dish, and poop bags with them. The responsibility for all pet waste cleanup lies with each owner.
To assist with all training, yummy, bite-sized dog treats and a favorite tug toy are recommended. Currituck County Rural Center boasts of many great recreational activities for families to enjoy. Among the many on-site opportunities include fishing, canoeing, kayaking, a playground, picnic areas, and a boardwalk.
The Currituck County 4-H Rural Center Agility Course even has indoor and outdoor horseback riding! There are also two ponds on the grounds. This much-loved Adventureland has not instituted any specific rules visitors must observe during their visit.
However, to ensure all dogs are protected against the spread of disease, up to date immunizations are advisable. Additionally, most states do require that all dogs be licensed with their city.
