The DeTurk Round Barn Dog Park offers a small, fenced-in area with a view of a round barn nearby. Visitors can rent this old barn, and it is a popular venue for weddings, birthday parties, and more. But your beloved Fufu will be hanging outdoors where visitors can also observe a street and houses within this quaint suburban neighborhood.
Although DeTurk offers a fun off-leash playful experience for Fufu, be aware that it is quite small, and the fence only stands around three-feet tall. This dog park also has a lot of dirt, so it does get muddy after a rainstorm. But Fufu can still find some scarce patches of grass.
On a positive note, dog owners can pack a lunch and eat on a bench or the picnic table on-site. They can also play Angry Birds because there’s WiFi available! Hopefully, instead of dog poop, new visitors will be smelling the fresh roses from the nearby rose garden. So after running around, Fufu can venture on-leash to sniff this sweet-smelling space.
If owners forget water or their poop bags, no problem, this park provides them both. In fact, Dog owners have access to two large pooper scoopers to clean up Fufu’s waste. And numerous signs remind dog owners to clean up after their pets so you have no excuse not to pick up after your pup.
During the summer months, Fufu can cool off by splashing around in the little doggy pool provided. And Fufu will not be able to escape because this dog park has a double gate. However, Fufu might be able to jump the short fence.
Also be aware that there is no separate space for small and large dogs at the DeTurk Round Barn Dog Park, so Fufu has to be kind to them all. But dog owners who seek a small area for their furry pal to run freely with a beautiful view of a historical building in the distance will love this fun park.
