Youth Community Park Off Leash Area

The off-leash area at Youth Community Park offers residents and visitors daily unfenced recreation for their dogs to either play or exercise. As part of Santa Rosa’s Youth Park, the facility provides owners with a chance to go picnicking, have a BBQ, go on bicycle paths, or have fun at the 73-acre skateboard park located on the premises.

The property includes a picnic area with a gazebo, a small group picnic area for 40 people, a large playground area, a turf playfield, and a spacious parking lot. The off-leash area is unfenced, so owners need to pay extra attention to their pets and keep them under their voice control at all times. Within the designated area, dogs are allowed to run unleashed and socialize with the other animals nearby, provided they are well-behaved and unaggressive. 

Owners need to leash their dogs whenever they leave the designated off-leash zone and make sure they do not bring female dogs in heat to the location. Furthermore, at the Youth Community Park Off-Leash Area, they are not allowed to bring food into the park area or bring more than three dogs per person at any time. 

There is also a creek nearby, which is situated next to the play area, where owners can take their dogs for a relaxing afternoon stroll. Cleaning up after the dogs is mandatory, so visitors are requested to bring along their waste dispenser bags if there are none at the location, and dispose of them in the designated trash cans found throughout the property.
