Dog Park (at Cooters Pond Park)

The Dog Park at Cooter's Pond Park is located at the upper level of the hill near the overlook. It’s a large fenced-in area with lush green grass that is well maintained. You need to have your dog vaccinated and licensed to visit this dog park. The proof of both need to be displayed on tags that hang from your dog’s collar. 

One of the first things you will notice about this park is the cleanliness. Park rules suggest pet parents clean up after their dogs by using the available plastic bags located in a dispenser near the dog park. There is a trash can located nearby to dispose of the plastic doggie poop bag. 

Dogs that exhibit aggressive behavior are the responsibility of their pet parents. Owners need to leash their dog and remove them from the park area immediately for safety reasons. Owners need to resolve any situation related to aggressive dogs with the other party involved. 

Pet owners visiting the Dog Park at Cooter's Pond Park are encouraged to remain nearby their dogs and keep a close eye on them at all times. You are also required to hold a leash in hand at all times in case of an emergency or aggressive behavior arises with other dogs.
