East Hills Dog Park (in The Park)

East Hills Dog Park is a private dog park located in the Village of East Hills, New York. A key fob is required to enter the premises of the 50-acre park, making it accessible only to the residents of East Hills. This beautiful, fenced park was opened in 2006 and has since become the center of the community due to its convenient location and great amenities.

In addition to being able to access the dog park, the East Hills residents can enjoy taking a dive in the swimming pool and water park, playing some tennis on one of the six tennis courts located within the park’s premises or jogging along the park’s scenic trails with their four-legged companions as long as they are leashed. There is also a fitness center, a theater, and a variety of different playgrounds for kids.

The dog park itself has a spacious, very well-thought-out layout and plenty of resources that are appreciated by the community. There are two separate dog runs, one area for smaller breeds and another for the bigger hounds. In addition, there are dog drinking fountains and several well-placed benches within the off-leash areas allowing owners to supervise their four-legged friends comfortably at all times. 

On top of all of that, there is a live feed webcam, meaning you can check the weather or how crowded the dog park is simply by visiting the park’s website. The East Hills dog park is also known for its cleanliness. Dog waste bag dispensers are always filled and located conveniently by trash cans, so please make sure to clean up after your dog and respect the park’s grounds. Since the ground is covered by sand, don’t forget to bring a towel to wipe your pooch’s paws after playtime.

A parking lot is located just a few feet from the dog park and most of the time it is easy to find a spot to park in. All in all, if you live in the neighborhood, make sure to visit the East Hills dog park as it will surely become your favorite spot in town.
