There is a fully fenced dog playground on the property. The enclosure does not include a separate play area for use by small, senior, or shy dogs; however, all dogs are invited to enjoy off-leash activity here regardless of breed, size, or age. To ensure all proper safety measures are in place, owners should bring a lead with them in case it is needed.
Though dogs are permitted to play freely in the designated off-leash zone, they must remain leashed in all other areas of Edgewood Park. Edgewood Dog Park warmly welcomes all pooches and their people to visit their doggy play haven. To facilitate this, access is granted to the grounds free of charge. Within the play areas are many amenities sure to enhance Fido's day of fun.
Water is available at the nearby Coogan Pavilion, and bathrooms are also accessible in the Ranger's Station. Benches are scattered throughout the grounds to allow owners a restful place to relax. Poop bags are not provided on the grounds. Since owners are required to take care of all canine waste removal, it is wise to bring bags from home for this purpose.
Edgewood Dog Park also offers many outdoor opportunities for families to enjoy. Why not leash Fido up and head out for a hike on one of Edgewood Park's many natural trails? The property is also home to playgrounds, a skate park, several ponds, a soccer field, bocce, and basketball.
There is surely something here to please every member of the family, human or canine! Dogs visiting this wonderful dog play haven are to be fully vaccinated. A city dog license is also suggested. For a day of fun under the Connecticut sun, plan a trip to Edgewood Dog Park!
