El Dorado State Park

El Dorado State Park enjoys a convenient location, near three state highways and it's one of the top parks for fishing, boating and fun adventures in Kansas. The park features four campgrounds and almost 1100 campsites, that range from primitive to fully equipped with water and electricity. 

In short, you can either choose to have more comfort during your stay or experience what it's like not to have a comfortable bed and running water near you. Just like they did in the old times. Regardless of your campsite choice, make sure to call and reserve your spot before you arrive at the El Dorado State Park. 

At El Dorado State Park you will also find 11 group picnic shelters which are ideal for having lunch and making new friends. In addition, there are numerous restrooms facilities and showers available on the campgrounds. Wheelchair access is also possible, as there is a concrete trail especially built for people with disabilities. 

Everyone can have a great time at El Dorado State Park, including your dog. Even though the regulations state that pets are not allowed on swimming beaches or inside public structures, they can enjoy a fun hike with their owner. Make sure Fido is always wearing a leash when you're wandering the trails in search of new adventures. 

Potty bags are not available on site, so it's your responsibility as an owner to have waste bags handy and clean up after your pet. It's a simple way to bring your contribution to keeping the park clean. Whether you want to go swimming, hiking with your pet or go horseback riding, El Dorado State Park offers a wide range of entertaining activities. 

Wildlife lovers have the chance to observe small sized mammals, songbirds, and waterfowl. There are fees required for vehicles, camping, and special events. You can purchase any permit for the state park's office. Whether you're planning to stay only for one day or for an entire weekend, you have to take advantage of everything that El Dorado State Park offers, at least once!
