In the Vickery Meadow neighborhood of Dallas, locals, visitors, and their dogs love to stop by Fair Oaks Park for some relaxation in nature. This park has been around for over 60 years, and is well-known for the tournaments and events that are held here. Whether you and your pupper want to chat with the neighbors and meet their fur-babies, or sit back and people watch, it’s a great place to enjoy a warm sense of community.
The entrance to the park, along with a parking lot, can be found directly across Fair Oaks Avenue from the Emmett J. Conrad High School. There are porta-potties in the park, as well as drinking fountains for humans. Don’t forget a water bowl or bottle for your canine companion if you’re planning on staying a while.
Fair Oaks Park is mainly famed for its athletic facilities, and in there is plenty of space to run and play. Here you’ll find soccer fields, baseball fields, softball fields, and football fields, as well as a variety of courts. All that to say there is plenty of open green spaces! Doggos are allowed on the fields when there are no games or tournaments in progress. Otherwise, they are welcome to cheer with you from the sidelines.

Dogs are welcome to join their families in Fair Oaks Park as long as a couple ground rules are followed. These include keeping your pup leashed and under control at all times, and picked up after.
