Ferguson Park is a furrific neighborhood park that’s perfect for walks with your furry best friend! This 9.5-acre park was first established in 1953, and since then, it has grown into a pawpular community park. Ferguson Park allows dogs on-leash, and it has lots of attractions that you and your pup are both sure to love.
Ferguson Park is home to a mostly flat, paved walking path where you can take your dog for leisurely strolls. This walking path goes through the whole park, and it passes open fields where you can go for runs with your pup. Your pup will also love rolling around in the grass here! There isn’t much shade along the path, so be sure to stop by the park’s water fountain and fill up your pup’s water bowl.
As you’re walking along the path, you’ll pass many of the park’s main attractions, including a playground, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, a soccer field, and a softball field. There’s also a splash pad with a variety of water features, making it perfect for those hot Texas days. Pups will have to sit this activity out, though— only service dogs are allowed on the splash pad.
If you want to have lunch or a snack after your walk, Ferguson Park has a shady picnic area where you can enjoy a meal with your dog. The picnic area also has a charcoal grill that you can use to make burgers or hot dogs for you and your pup. You and your dog will both enjoy relaxing here after your walk!
Ferguson Park is a fun park with lots of amenities for both pups and their owners. Remember to bring doggy bags so you can clean up after your dog while you’re in the park, and have a pawsitively amazing time in this great neighborhood park!
