Field-Frazier Park

When you're looking for a place to play and walk with Fido, choices can seem limited in a big city like Dallas. Although there are plenty of great inner parks, some of the best natural areas reside outside the downtown area. One example of this is Field Frazier Park, a place where the acres seem endless and without any obstacles.

The park is properly named too, as the park is mostly made up of meadows and fields, with scattered trees and shaded sitting areas. 

Parking for the park is along the western road that runs alongside the area, offering off-street parallel parking spots. When you enter the park, you'll find nearly 3 acres of open space and fields to run around in. Along the edges of the park are colorful shrubs and wildflowers, along with a single trash bin in the southeast corner of the park. These are the only amenities you'll find here, so be sure to bring water and clean-up bags for your pooch. 

The park is best known for its openness, and although its secluded area allows for dogs to play off-leash, it does run near a major road, so make sure Fido will stay if you decide to take the leash off. The park's vast areas of even and well-maintained grass create a perfect terrain for a game of fetch, chasing, or just taking a walk. The tall oak and birch trees make for some great shaded areas too, so you can have a picnic if you want as well!

Don't let the lack of amenities deter you, as in Field Frazier Park, you'll find an open and secluded spot where you and Fido will have plenty of space to just run around and have fun together.
