Entrance to this doggy play haven is free of charge. A Port-A-Potty is installed in the nearby parking area and is available for public use. Also on-site is a plentiful supply of fresh water and bowls to help keep Fido well-hydrated during his play time at the park.
Park officials have also provided a small pool outside of the play areas where owners can bath their dogs to remove excess dirt. It is also important to note that no food or smoking is permitted on the premises. Visitors to this public dog play space report that there is only limited seating and little shade. Additionally, the park sometimes smells bad due to its close proximity to the Grass Island Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Complimentary poop bags are provided on the premises. Owners are required to assist park officials in maintaining the park's cleanliness by picking up and properly disposing of all canine waste materials. Though there are no additional rules posted governing the use of this park space, it is highly recommended that all dogs be current on vaccinations.
In addition to this, it is also advisable for all dogs attending the park to bear the appropriate required state license tag on their collars. For an afternoon you and your pooch will never forget, bring Fido to Grass Island Dog Park!
