Halifax County Visitor Center Dog Park

The Halifax County Visitor Center Dog Park is a facility provided by the Halifax County Convention and Visitors Bureau and is located in Roanoke Rapids in North Carolina. The dog park is for use by pet parents who are traveling with their fur family and who need a break from being stuck in a vehicle. 

There is ample parking right next to the off-leash areas. This dog park in Roanoke Rapids is an off-road haven for pups to have some exercise and a great way to welcome them to Halifax County. There are individual runs for large and small dogs which are accessed via gated staging areas so no worries a pup will escape to go shopping for bones in the Walmart across the road. 

The perimeter fencing is quite low and only measures around four feet high, so pups with springs on the end of their paws should be kept a watchful eye on. While it might not be the most deluxe of dog parks, to a pup it's pure heaven after being driven miles in the back of a four by four or family saloon car. 

The grass in the off-leash areas is tufty and a bit on the patchy side, the pups still enjoy sniffing it though and just as much as they enjoy pressing their nose against an open air vent while cruising down the highway. All fur babies visiting this dog park in Roanoke Rapids must be up to date on their shots and parasite treatments. 

The dog park is visited by fur families from all over the States and so keeping a pup protected from any unexpected infections or infestations is a must. Pet parents should also be in full control of their pup. Their fur buddy will be meeting up with other dogs it has never seen before and how strange dogs react to one another can never be predicted.
