The Hugh White State Park boundary encloses 1,321 acres of land that is situated in Grenada County which is in the state of Mississippi. This park is more specifically located about five miles east of Grenada and off MS 8 and is also centrally located between Memphis, Tennessee, and Jackson, Mississippi. The park is governed by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.Â

That said, the biggest attraction is the 64,000-acre Grenada Lake that is on part of the park's boundaries. There are many amenities and comforts that the park has to offer, including a meeting room, bathhouses with hot showers, three primitive tent camping areas, 173 developed campsites with water and electric hookups, a picnic area, group camping, duplex vacation cabins, a playground, boat launch, pavilion, swimming pool (for cabin guests only), nature trail, boat launch, playgrounds, and a visitor center.
Visitors to Hugh White State Park can bring along their pooch as long as they ensure that their dog is well-behaved. Additionally, dog owners are expected to maintain immediate control of their dog at all times. As such, dogs should always be on a leash that is no longer than six feet, and if the dog is not on a leash, then they should be secured in a safe enclosure. Furthermore, dog owners are expected to immediately clean up after their tail-wagger.
