Huguenot Memorial Park

Huguenot Memorial Park is located in Jacksonville, Florida. This beautiful recreational space is largely comprised of a white sandy beach. Visitors love this park's regulation which allows vehicles to drive directly to water access. The beach itself is kept pristinely clean and contains a large sandbar. While dogs used to be permitted access to the beach, recent reports state that it has been closed to canines for several years. 

Dogs are allowed entrance to the park areas as well as the campsites but must remain on a lead of no greater than six feet at all times. Huguenot Memorial Park is a private beach, camping area, and community park. Access to the grounds is fee-based. Park officials charge a fee of $5 per vehicle, or an annual permit can be obtained for $90. 

Little is known about this lovely facility other than it offers picturesque views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the St Johns River. Many park and beach visitors note that the area is ideal for bird watching and nature walks. Since there is no designated area for dog play at Huguenot Memorial Park, there are no on-site amenities provided. 

Owners should ensure they bring all of the things they may need for a day at the park with them. It is important to be certain to pack drinking water and a dog dish to ensure Fido's hydration needs are met. Since canine waste removal is the responsibility of all owners, it is also wise to bring some extra poop bags from home as none are provided on the grounds. 

They do have a restroom for public use at this beautiful beachfront park. Huguenot Memorial Park closely observes all Florida by-laws and requires canine visitors to be current on all vaccinations.
